Happy new decade.
At the end of December I had 3 different calls with people “interested in exploring communications and narrative work.” At the top of my pre-notes for one of those calls was “it’s not worth it.”
Luckily for me, that was a lie: every one of those conversations gave me some good perspective on what it takes to integrate narrative into a broader organizing strategy. I’m really grateful for all the conversations I had over the last few months (and if one of those conversations was with you, thank you!).
After 6 months of research, some funding constraints, and more than a few existential crises, 5 Minute Speech Coach is launching in March! In order to make sure the audio class is cheap in order to be useful for the people it’s designed for. The more I worked on 5MSC, the more I worried it played into the resource deficits in organizing: that changed in December as I learned about a few other models that seemed promising.
Look out for 5MSC’s launch in March, along with a library of narrative shift templates, tools, and worksheets, case studies, trainings, scripts, and even a more regularly scheduled Feednet.
